I updated the Blog with a puppy update and individual photos for each one. In honor of their February birthdays and birth stone Amethyst, my litter names are influenced by the color purple. It happens to be one of my favorite colors as well! All puppies will be registered with the Old-Time Scotch Collie registry under these names, but that does not preclude the future owner renaming them with a different call name. That can be added to the registry as well so no worries!
Welcome to Heartland Farmette, where we’re living life on the prairie in the Illinois heartland. We pursue various homesteading things in our small corner of the world. We love to garden. We converted a small part of a crop field to a prairie, woody perennials, and an orchard. We raise Old-Time Scotch Collies. Previously, we’ve kept chickens for meat and eggs and may pursue raising poultry in the future. Stay tuned! We love our little slice of heaven where we’re able to pursue our passion of stewarding the environment around us.
