What a beautiful day it has been. We enjoyed some fun playtime this morning. The puppies are 7 weeks old! Crazy. They had their first worming at 6 weeks, and will have their first vet appointment soon for their 8 weeks updates.

Welcome to Heartland Farmette, where we’re living life on the prairie in the Illinois heartland. We pursue various homesteading things in our small corner of the world. We love to garden. We converted a small part of a crop field to a prairie, woody perennials, and an orchard. We raise Old-Time Scotch Collies. Previously, we’ve kept chickens for meat and eggs and may pursue raising poultry in the future. Stay tuned!
