Goodness, we’ve had a busy spring. The puppies are heading to their new homes. All are spoken for. I’m excited for them!

We have chicks on site now. Excited to see how our Cinnamon Queens and Golden Comets turn out.

Welcome to Heartland Farmette, where we’re living life on the prairie in the Illinois heartland. We pursue various homesteading things in our small corner of the world. We love to garden. We converted a small part of a crop field to a prairie, woody perennials, and an orchard. We raise Old-Time Scotch Collies. Previously, we’ve kept chickens for meat and eggs and may pursue raising poultry in the future. Stay tuned! We love our little slice of heaven where we’re able to pursue our passion of stewarding the environment around us.
