Well some fun news! We added a new female my program—Mountain Wave Anwen! She is 9 weeks and I am excited to see her grow. This is a unique pairing from Mountain Wave Farm with Shepherd’s Hearth Chickadee and Scholland Jake, a Welsh Sheepdog hailing from Scotland. A wonderful outcross litter with lots of herding and work potential.

In other news, Saffy is still available. She’s 8 months and looking for a property to watch over. Check out the blog for more and happy to help answer questions. Thanks!

Welcome to Heartland Farmette, where we’re living life on the prairie in the Illinois heartland. We pursue various homesteading things in our small corner of the world. We love to garden. We converted a small part of a crop field to a prairie, woody perennials, and an orchard. We raise Old-Time Scotch Collies. Previously, we’ve kept chickens for meat and eggs and may pursue raising poultry in the future. Stay tuned! We love our little slice of heaven where we’re able to pursue our passion of stewarding the environment around us.
